About Jen / Kandid Kobold
Long time DM, gay gal and lover of all things D&D. I run roleplay-heavy games with a bit of grit to them. Most of what I run these days lives in The Four Evers — a homebrew setting I've been building for years, named for four things that never stop: a blizzard in the north, a maelstrom off the shattered coast, a darkness over the eastern continent, and a fire still burning in the mouth of a dead god-dragon. Alongside that I run published campaigns — Curse of Strahd, Icewind Dale, Out of the Abyss, Waterdeep — and I've a book on the way. Games run on my own Foundry VTT server with Discord for voice, so there's nothing for you to buy or install.
How Jen Runs Games
Very story-focused, and fairly forgiving when it comes to silliness and shenanigans. I lean roleplay-heavy and reward players who play their characters well.
Jen's Ideal Table
I love it when a player surprises me, or uses a spell for something it was never intended for. Out-of-the-box thinking gets rewarded at my table. Min-maxing is kinda boring — I'm more interested in a great story than numbers go brrr.
